Our flagship product is Vactraca a wearable routine immunization tracker that was designed in 2020 to help governments of middle to lower-income countries improve their routine immunization record keeping.
It is a fashionable necklace with a pendant that doubles as the vaccination record keeper. Vactraca is used by governments and international aid agencies working in the maternal and new-born health to increase vaccination uptake and to reduce infant mortality from vaccine preventable diseases.
Vaccine tracking necklace
The Vactraca necklace can be worn as an everyday accessory, for special occasions and to hospital appointments. The beautiful pendant can be matched with various outfits and the colours can be changed by flipping the discs to the back. When the routine immunization schedule is complete, the mother can continue to wear the necklace as a fashion accessory and even keep it as a memento.
Vaccine schedule highlights
Each disc on the pendant represents an infant’s vaccine schedule. It highlights what vaccines an infant should receive at a particular age. Health workers can use a biro or ball pen to mark the vaccines grooves on the discs and indicate a date of completion. The inked grooves represent vaccines that have been administered, making it easy for anyone to track routine immunization uptake.
Customization
Vactraca vaccine schedules are bespoke and can be easily tweaked to fit the routine immunization schedules in different countries and regions. To enable our clients take ownership of the product, the pendants are customizable, the small disc on the pendant can be used to highlight a country flag or a company logo.
